Pensioner Visa (Pensionado) is a residence route in Panama (退休). Guaranteed lifetime pension ≥US$1,000/month (US$750 if owning Panama property >US$100k); +US$250/month per dependant. Savings/dividends do not qualify. Visit Panama at least once every 2 yrs. Gov fees ~US$3,000 for family of 3.

Residence certificate: DGI TRC per year: home + economic and family ties; discretionary, 3–5 months

Your previous country applies its own residence tests separately. If both countries treat you as resident, the applicable tax treaty may resolve treaty residence.

Requirements at a glance

You need an annual income of about CHF 9'600. There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 立即 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 5 years.
