Register online with UDI and attend police within 3 months: work, self-employment, or self-sufficient (sufficient funds + health insurance). Free. Non-EEA family get residence card (free).

There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 8 years.
