EU/EEA/Swiss free movement (right of residence) is a residence route in Estonia (EU / EFTA vapaa liikkuvuus). Register residence with local government within 3 months; ID card; permanent right after 5 yrs. Citizenship 8 yrs residence + Estonian B1 + constitution test; no dual citizenship.

Requirements at a glance

There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 8 years.
