Red-White-Red Card for start-up founders is a residence route in Austria (Entrepreneur). Innovative start-up, ≥€30,000 capital (≥50% own equity), significant management control, business plan, ≥50 of 85 points (qualification, experience, age, language). Renewal: turnover ≥€200k or further €100k funding; then RWR Card plus. Fee €218 pp.

Requirements at a glance

The minimum qualifying investment is about CHF 28'200. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 10 years.

Worldwide income, progressive up to 55%; company profits 23% CIT + 27.5% on distributions
