Croatian citizenship for emigrants and their descendants (Art. 11 Citizenship Act) is a residence route in Croatia (Καταγωγή). Prove line of descent and ancestor's permanent emigration from territory of today's Croatia (not to another Yugoslav republic). No residence, no language test, no renunciation of other citizenship. Members of Croatian people from elsewhere use Art. 16.

Requirements at a glance

There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after άμεσα years. Citizenship can be possible after about 0 years.
