Latvian/Livonian descent – repatriation & citizenship registration is a residence route in Latvia (Původ předků). Descendants of pre-1940 Latvian citizens can register as citizens (dual allowed with EU/EFTA/NATO etc.); ethnic Latvians/Livs with B1 Latvian can register/repatriate. Residence permits also available on Latvian-origin ground.
Requirements at a glance
There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Citizenship can be possible after about 0 years.
