Skilled Migrant Category / Accredited Employer Work Visa is a residence route in New Zealand (Anställning). AEWV: job offer from accredited employer at/above median wage; SMC residence: 6 points (registration, qualification or income ≥1.5–3x median wage) + NZ skilled work.
Requirements at a glance
There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 2 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 5 years.
