Registration of residence of an EU/EEA/Swiss citizen is a residence route in Slovakia (Libera circulație UE / AELS). Register with Foreign Police within 30 days after 3 months: employment/business or sufficient resources + health insurance. Non-EU family get residence card. Permanent right after 5 yrs; naturalisation needs 8 yrs PR. Fees minimal (~€5–10/person).

There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 13 years.
