Employment Permit (work permit)
Employment Permit (work permit) is a residence route in Namibia (Angajare). Job offer; employer must show no suitable Namibian available and appoint an understudy; Immigration Selection Board approval. Fee NAD 2,600 per year. Visa now required for many Western nationals (incl. CH/EU) since April 2025 (visa on arrival/e-visa).
Requirements at a glance
There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 10 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 10 years.
