10-Year Resident Card (Carte de résident (10 ans))
10-Year Resident Card is a residence route in Morocco (Altele). Law 02-03 Art. 16: after ≥4 yrs uninterrupted lawful residence, foreigner with stable means/integration may receive a 10-yr resident card, automatically renewable. Discretionary; spouses and minor children included. Card fee ~MAD 100 (stamp) per person.
Requirements at a glance
Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 4 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 5 years.
How holders are taxed
Tax residents taxed on worldwide income (IR to 37%); foreign pensions repatriated in MAD: 80% abatement, basic pensions exempt from 2026.
