Spousal / Relative's Visa and family PR is a residence route in South Africa (Rodzina). Spouse/life partner or 1st-step relative of SA citizen/PR; financial undertaking by sponsor (relative's visa min. ~ZAR 8,500/month); spouse may apply for work endorsement. PR after 5 yrs of good-faith spousal relationship (s.26(b)).
Requirements at a glance
You need an annual income of about CHF 4'590. There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 10 years.
