Top Talent Pass Scheme is a residence route in Hong Kong (Arbeid). Category A: annual income ≥HKD 2.5m in preceding year; or B/C: degree from top-200 university (+3 yrs experience for C). No job offer needed; renewal needs HK employment/business. Visa fee HKD 230/person.

Tax residence in Hong Kong

Ordinarily resides in HK (habitual home, family) → TRC; else >180 days in year or >300 in 2 consecutive years

Territorial: no tax on foreign income, dividends, capital gains; salaries tax only on HK employment

Residence certificate: IRD certificate of resident status for treaty use

Your previous country applies its own residence tests separately. If both countries treat you as resident, the applicable tax treaty may resolve treaty residence.

Requirements at a glance

You need an annual income of about CHF 256'500. There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 7 years.
