Critical Skills Work Visa is a residence route in South Africa (就労). Occupation on gazetted Critical Skills List (Oct 2023, updates pending); SAQA-evaluated degree + professional body registration; job offer not required up front (12 months to find). PR (s.27(b)) once offered permanent employment. Points-based assessment phased in 2025-26. DHA fee ZAR 1,520 per applicant.
Requirements at a glance
There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 1 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 6 years.
