Family reunification (Reîntregirea familiei)
Family reunification is a residence route in Romania (Család). Sponsor holding Romanian residence (generally ≥1 yr right of residence, exemptions for Blue Card/investors); accommodation, health insurance and means at least the minimum gross wage (~RON 4,325/month) plus per-member top-up. Spouses of Romanians: citizenship after 5 yrs marriage+residence.
Requirements at a glance
You need an annual income of about CHF 9'600. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 8 years.
How holders are taxed
Worldwide once resident: 10% flat income tax, 16% dividends.
