Certificate of temporary residence for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens is a residence route in Czechia (EU / EFTA szabad mozgás). Optional certificate (mandatory address report >30 days); health insurance + means. Non-EU family members need residence card. PR after 5 yrs; citizenship after PR with total residence (EU: 3 yrs PR), B1 Czech + civics test. Certificate fee CZK 100 (child CZK 50).

Requirements at a glance

There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 8 years.
