Family immigration permit is a residence route in Norway (Perhe). Sponsor income ≥NOK 436,957/yr pre-tax (adjusted each May), both last year and expected; no social assistance in prior 12 months; housing. Children <18 of skilled workers usually fee-free; adult fee ≈NOK 12,700 (approx).

Requirements at a glance

You need an annual income of about CHF 34'960. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 3 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 8 years.

How holders are taxed

Worldwide income once resident; wealth tax ~1.0–1.1%.
