Financially Independent Persons (FIP) residence permit is a residence route in Greece (Omat varat). Stable passive income ≥ €3,500/month (+20% spouse, +15% per child) from abroad; health insurance; Greek lease/property; no work in Greece. 3-yr renewable permit. Gov fees ~€2,450 (family of 3).

Requirements at a glance

You need an annual income of about CHF 39'480. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 7 years.
