EU/EFTA free movement registration (Annex 19 / E card) is a residence route in Belgium (EU / EFTA vapaa liikkuvuus). Register at the commune within 3 months (Annex 19); as self-sufficient person show sufficient resources (no fixed figure, ~GAMMI benchmark) + comprehensive health insurance. E card 5 yrs, E+ (permanent) after 5 yrs. Non-EU spouse/child get F card. Card fee ~€25/person (commune-dependent).

Requirements at a glance

There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 5 years.
