Family Reunification (Reagrupamento familiar)
Family Reunification is a residence route in Portugal (خانواده). Sponsor with valid residence permit, housing and means; spouse, minor children, dependent parents. AIMA backlogs; 2025 law requires sponsor to have 2 yrs residence (exceptions for Golden Visa, highly qualified).
Requirements at a glance
Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 10 years.
