Residence permit for family members (family reunification) is a residence route in Sweden (Rodina). Sponsor must support family & have adequate housing (stricter amount after housing costs since 1 Oct 2026); new 2-yr prior-residence rule for sponsor (work-permit, Blue Card, researcher families exempt). Fee SEK 1,500 adult / 750 child.
Requirements at a glance
