Personal wealth > £10m (excl. home), sustainable income > £1.25m, min tax £250,000/yr; buy/rent home ≥ £3.5m (house) or £1.75m (flat), expected to buy after 12 months; character, business & community contribution assessed.

Requirements at a glance

The minimum qualifying investment is about CHF 1'872'500. You need an annual income of about CHF 1'337'500. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after ihned years.

How holders are taxed

20% on first £1.25m of worldwide income, 1% above (Jersey property income always 20%); no CGT/IHT/wealth tax
